What would we do if we could not get a ticket on the bus to
go home for Diwali? Keep cribbing about if for every other Diwali to come? But when faced with the above situation
Mr.Phanindra Sama did not do just that, he dwelt on the current situation and when he discovered that the travel agents don’t have all the information
regarding all the possible bus operators leading to a information gap, he decided to
fix it.
He got together along with two of his classmates from BITS
Pilani, Sudhakar Pasupunuri and Charan Padmaraju and created a organized bus
ticketing service provider.
This company which was started in 2006 had a turnover of Rs.
50 lakhs in the first year and multiplied to 5 crores the following year. They crossed
the magic figure of 100 crores in the 2011 and have set a target for about 300
crores this year. They currently have 500 people employed.They have about 700 bus operators with 10,000 buses listed, works in 15 states and sells around 8,000 tickets every day.
